Many Ways to Help
All ABVI programs are made possible through the generosity
of people like you, through either a United Way donation,
outright gift, or planned gift. Planning your gift
helps to ensure both the future of vital programs
and services we provide, as well as possibly furthering
your financial goals.

- Planned Giving:
Planned gifts include financial gifts you donate
through your will, charitable gift annuities, gifts
of life insurance, pooled income funds, and charitable
trusts.
- Gift of Life Insurance
Life Insurance policies which may no longer
be needed can be transferred over to the Association
for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
- Gifts of Retirement Plans
Through use of a charitable remainder trust,
your IRA assets can provide life income to the
beneficiary, and eventually a gift to the Association
for the Blind & Visually Impaired.
- Bequest
A frequently used method of support; a bequest
is the inclusion of the Association for the
Blind & Visually Impaired as a beneficiary
in your will.
- Life Income Gift
A Life Income Gift involves an irrevocable transfer
of some assets to the Association for the Blind
& Visually Impaired now, with the return
of, you (and a survivor, if you wish) receiving
income for life.
- Pooled Income Fund
Your gift of marketable securities, money, or
both is invested along with similar gifts from
other supporters.
- Charitable Lead Trust
A tax benefit for very large estates can be
a charitable lead trust, which can benefit ABVI
while passing principal to family members with
little or no tax penalty.

Donate Goods:
clothing and household goods to the "365
day a year clothing drive" located behind the
building.
Endowment
Plant a seed for the future today.
- A Named Endowment gives you the opportunity to provide funds either
unrestricted or designated to an area of interest, to be used to help
ensure that the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired can
continue to provide its vital services and programs. These funds, honoring
the donor or designated honoree, provide income for ABVI and help offset
the cost of services. It can be established with as little as $2,000
/ year contribution for five years.
- Once established the investment income can be
used to provide programming and services.

Money
Why contribute to ABVI?
Because each one of our 550 clients, or 400 adults
screened for visual issues, or 3500 Lehigh County
Kindergarteners and preschoolers screened, benefited
from our wide variety of services. Our Prevention
Services alone identified 250 individuals who needed
to visit their eye care physician. Quality of Life
issues are what our Pathways to Independence Program
are all about.
- Monthly Giving program.
Along with paying your electric bill or other bills,
you can authorize an automatic withdrawal from your
checking account as a donation to ABVI.
- Hold a Fundraiser
Is your business looking for a way to enhance your own public exposure
in a positive way? Consider partnering with ABVI to host a fundraising
activity to benefit ABVI. Your company can gain potential customers
and great public relations as a business dedicated to our community.
